So you like country music, but you wish that it was more storytelling and western like it was in the 90’s. Well I have the list for you.
Cody Johnson- All around stud, real cowboy, and has great music. Has cover songs in albums from Chris ledux to brooks and Dunn, and sometimes does it better than the original. From Texas, and came up in the that music scene. Lot of music to sift through and find.

Zach Bryan- relatively new to the music scene, he comes from Oklahoma, navy vet and also a stud. The lyrics in his music are where it really takes him above and beyond the competition. Music goes from taking about rodeo, to being out on blue collar jobs trying to get by, and obviously heartache from women and his mother who has passed away.

Jon Pardi- This one is for sure the biggest stretch for 90’s kind of country, but he is fun. From California in a small town, he will give e you a lot of heartache songs about cowgirls and drinking away the pain. With a good amount of party songs and good times to go along with it.

Chris Stapleton- Now, one of the best of all time in country, not as much specific to cowgirls but if you haven’t heard, I’d compare to Merle haggard or Waylon Jennings, good mix but also great writing with it. A lot of heard ache, but one of the best voices that has been given to gods green earth. Wrote for many years before, and had a band called the steel drivers before going solo. Will and should go down as one of the all time greats. The kind of artist you can just throw in his album or vinyl, settle in and listen.
